Absolutely not. Bowls is becoming increasingly more popular with people of all ages, and is actually a "core sport" of the Commonwealth Games. We currently have members of a variety of ages, with our youngest member being just 12 years old.

As with any sport you can pay in as much or as little as you like. Our fees are only £75 annually, £10 for novices and free for children. If you want the top of the range equipment then yes it could become expensive, but it isn't really essential and is your choice if you wish to do so.

You will never really know if you like something or are good at it until you try it. Why not "roll up and play" at one of our training sessions held at 6pm every Tuesday evening, no fees and no obligation. All of our members would be happy to give you any advice or pointers.

We have a few members that find it difficult to get to matches and training, but we are a very friendly group and some members are able to offer lifts to others. Why not get in touch and enquire, maybe one of our members lives close by and could help you out.

Of course you can. It can sometimes be a bit daunting meeting people you dont know, so if you wish to bring someone else along then the more the merrier. Who knows, maybe they will like it too.
